Founded in January 1973, Britepak Trading was incorporated into the Transpaco Group in March 2005. This merger allowed us to increase our market share considerably by gaining customers wishing to deal with a Black Economic Empowerment company. The merger has also provided us with a platform for future growth in providing paper-based packaging for the broader fast moving consumer goods market.
Britepak is also able to offer our customers with peace of mind offerings such as barcode readers and glue detection system ensuring cross contamination is avoided.
In 2011, Britepak installed the first of its kind Accubraille unit in Africa. As per the European Directives set in 2004 requiring all pharmaceutical packaging to display the name and strength of medicinal products in a Braille format. We are able to offer our customers high quality braille cell embossing with a stable definition across the run at speed. This is achieved through the high speed in line rotary module which embosses braille onto the carton during a single pass through the folder–gluer. Britepak is also able to offer our customers with peace of mind offerings such as barcode readers and glue detection system ensuring cross contamination is avoided.
Accubraille takes Britepak’s operators just minutes to set up and is able to keep pace with the folder – gluer at speeds of up to 100 000 cartons per hour.
